Wanna know the best time to hit up a TV producer for spoilers? Take it from me, it’s when they smell a Golden Globe coming. Read on and feast on the scoopapalooza Ryan Murphy gave me just minutes before Glee’s big victory last night:
I decided to look up a description of the female character that they are searching for Season 2, he describes her as an “Eve Harrington” character:
Eve Harrington is an aspiring actress and con woman. Originally from Milwaukee, she was given $500 by the wife of her boss to leave town after being suspected of an affair with him. She took the money, moved to New York, adopted the name “Eve Harrington,” and insinuated herself into the life of celebrated star Margo Channing by concocting a false story about a dead husband who never existed. Eve is extremely ambitious and manipulative. Originally conceived as a lesbian, there are several subtle hints throughout the film that indicate that Eve is either lesbian or bisexual. What remains abundantly clear is that she loves fame, power, and money above all else.
On the male side, he is looking for a boyfriend for Kurt.
Today I realized that the writers on Glee didn’t think the name of the club through very well. When said out loud, “New Directions” sounds a lot like “Nude Erections.” MLIA.
